What is important to us

Your sustainable hotel in Austria

A responsibility you can feel

For four generations, we have cherished what truly binds the Tuxerhof together: the balance between Alpine tradition, genuine community, and our precious natural idyll. Sustainability is a matter close to our hearts and the foundation of our Zillertal home.

We combine modern comfort with the consistent protection of our resources. You will experience this in your daily wellness routine in our energy-efficient pools, as well as in our choice of building materials and our close collaboration with local businesses. Our aim is to offer you a holiday that unites ecological awareness with genuine well-being. Because an unspoiled mountain landscape is the most beautiful backdrop for letting your soul unwind.

Sustainability in practice at Tuxerhof

True luxury doesn't require long journeys. We choose the best from our local area, because short supply chains guarantee uncompromising freshness and support the people who make our region so unique.

Origin,
Attitude,
Home.

Consistently regional with the r70 guarantee

Our r70 guarantee makes origin measurable: Whenever possible, our food products come from within a radius of 70 kilometers. Whether mountain cheese, meat, or herbs – we know our partners personally and thus support the region sustainably.

Our Regional Partners

Regional & Authentic

Sustainability tastes like craftsmanship and passion to us. We serve you specialties made by people we know personally. From hand-selected fine brandies from the neighborhood to freshly tapped regional beer: we rely on partners who share our love for authenticity.

The Green Option at Tuxerhof

Do good and be rewarded

With the "Green Option," you actively choose to use resources more consciously. Simply hang the bag on your room door if you prefer not to have a full cleaning.

Our cleaning staff will then focus only on the essentials: making beds, restocking toiletries, changing towels as needed, and emptying the trash. As a thank you for your contribution to environmental protection, we'll reward you with a small surprise.

For us, sustainability means working together for a better future – for our guests, the environment and the community.

Sustainable holidays in Tux

Where we act sustainably

By following the "nose-to-tail" principle and planning seasonally, we avoid unnecessary waste in the kitchen. Delicious dishes that are already prepared in the kitchen but not served in the restaurant are shared among the team. This way, we guarantee that nothing that still promises enjoyment ends up in the trash.

The Tuxer Sportbus is available to our guests free of charge in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

If you are arriving with your electric car, charging stations are available in our underground parking garage (for a fee). Additionally, you will find a Supercharger on the grounds of the Tux Center in Lanersbach (for a fee).

In our culinary philosophy, we place particular emphasis on fresh natural products, ingredients in rhythm with the seasons and close partnerships with local suppliers as part of our r70 guarantee.

To retain heat, the Sunset Relax Pool is automatically covered during off-peak hours (e.g., from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM). You can reopen the cover at any time using the button on the exit door.

We continue this sustainable cycle in the garden: Our innovative residual water recycling system collects the outdoor pool water daily, purifies it with state-of-the-art filtration technology, and prepares it for the next day's use.

To reduce paper usage, we are happy to send your bill via email in an environmentally friendly way.

In both our front and back offices, we are actively working to minimize paper consumption and rely on digital alternatives. To keep packaging waste in the kitchen to a minimum, we order in bulk whenever possible.
