The autumn programme includes 350 km of marked hiking trails, accessible via five mountain lifts, as well as guided tours with our activity guides and the option to book a four-course hiking snack. Guests can also enjoy golf, biking and e-biking, paragliding, yoga and mindfulness hikes, along with cultural highlights such as the traditional cattle drive and the Hintertux Oktoberfest in September.
Yes. At the Hintertux Glacier, you can get an early start to the ski season at altitudes of up to 3,250 metres, with reliable snow conditions even while autumn temperatures in the valley are still mild.
In autumn, the cuisine at the Tuxerhof becomes particularly regional, hearty and seasonal. Head Chef Maik and his team make the most of aromatic herbs, root and autumn vegetables, warming soups and refined game dishes. A special highlight is our traditional Törggelen evening at the mountain hut: enjoy hot roasted chestnuts, hearty Tyrolean Gröstl and authentic Tyrolean hospitality in a cosy alpine setting.

The Zillertal Activcard is valid from the end of May until the end of October, covering the first part of the autumn season. It includes one return trip on a mountain lift per day, admission to outdoor swimming pools, use of public transport throughout the Zillertal, as well as numerous benefits with participating partners. The card is available directly from the Tuxerhof reception.
