Legendary event at the Tuxerhof
"Skiing to the max!" That is what visitors to the Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 can look forward to. With 199 kilometres of pistes up to and above 3000 metres altitude it is the perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy the warm sun on your skin as you breathe in the mountain air of the Austrian Tyrol.
State-of-the-art lifts & cable cars with almost zero queues, 100% snowsure slopes throughout the year and cosy wooden huts make for an unforgettable skiing experience.
After a long day out and about in the mountains, there are a few differnt ways you can relax at the Tuxerhof. How about a visit to the spa with its sizzling saunas and steam rooms? Or a drink at the hotel bar to reflect on an action-packed day? Thanks to our hotel's location next to the ski slopes you will be able to relax one way or the other while your fellow skiers are still in the car heading back to their hotels. Just as in the morning, when you head from the hotel to the lifts and into the resort, the journey back in the late afternoon is just as easy. No queues, no waiting around, no hassle. There is even a sports shop next to the hotel where you can have your skis waxed on your way to the slopes to make sure you are the fastest in the family!
For all those who simply can't get enough of the white stuff, here in the Zillertal Valley we have the perfect solution: the Tux Glacier.
While others swim in the region's lakes or top up their tan in the mountains, you can enjoy perfect conditions even in summer in what is Austria's only 365-days-a-year ski resort. The glacier is also a popular place in autumn, when the first powder of the season falls and minds turn once again to skiing. Skiers and boarders can look forward to 18 km of pistes high above the valley floor with majestic views of the Zillertal Alps.
At the top of the resort at 3250 metres above sea level there is a viewing terrace with a 360° panorama - the icing on the cake of your summer skiing experience.
100% snowsure slopes until after Easter
Do you feel the need for speed, even on holiday? If so then head for one of the three specially groomed race pistes in the resort or the speed course at Gerent. Here you can measure your speed and go head-to-head with friends and family to see who is the fastest.
Skiing is great fun, but especially at the start it can be a frustrating experience if you don't have someone alongside you to show you how it's done.
