• relax at the Himmelreich Tuxerhof

Safe and sound

a good feeling

Our top priority: the health and safety of all guests and staff. To guarantee this, we take all the necessary precautions and implement the required measures. However, one immense advantage that we have "by nature" at the Tuxerhof is the huge amount of space in all outdoor and indoor areas. Space to relax and enjoy - with the necessary distance - is plentiful here with us.

You will find plenty of space to stretch out everywhere and many private retreats and seclusion options. In the house and around the Tuxerhof. On the mountain peaks and in the valley. We are constantly planning, tinkering, developing and optimising. For you, for us, for an ingenious time-out in the Tuxertal valley....

Current information

First things first

Despite the new general conditions, we promise you one thing: The Tuxerhof remains your temple of well-being, where you can feel safe and in good hands. We guarantee this with our strict and once again extended hygiene concept, which was already convincing last summer.

General measures at the Tuxerhof

Carefree booking in winter 2021/22:

Free cancellation unti the day of arrival if you are tested COVID-19 positive yourself (presentation of positive PCR test result required) or you are in quarantine due to contact person (K1) (with valid segregation notice).

Should one of these cases occur, we will cancel your reservation free of charge. Valid for reservations until April 2022. Vaccinated you are considered K2 without quarantine.

Otherwise, our general hotel cancellation conditions apply.

The safety, security and well-being of our guests is always our top priority. Please only travel if you and your family are healthy and feel fit. This is important to us - for the well-being of all our guests and staff.

A prerequisite for your arrival is either a valid negative test result (not older than 48 hours), a vaccination certificate or proof that you are already recovered (up to 6 months). Alternatively, there will also be the option for on-site testing.

The quarantine regulations for entry into Austria are based on the ECDC map for risk areas:

Green/yellow/orange: free entry without quarantine
Red: no quarantine if the person entering the country has been tested, vaccinated or has recovered.
Dark red: entry for tested, vaccinated and recovered persons with quarantine obligation (free testing possible after 5 days)
We welcome you with our "Tuxerhof heart greeting" - to keep the distance, we do not shake hands. Of course, we will still accompany you to your room and show you the most important areas of our hotel. For this, we keep an appropriate distance and do not share the lift with you. Check-in and reception support will be changed, but will remain courteous as usual!

Please note that quarantine regulations on return travel depend on your home country/state. As the regulations often vary, we cannot give you any binding information here. It is best to enquire at your local health office.

Throughout the building, it is important to maintain a minimum distance of at least 2m. Of course, our staff also make an effort to do this. Fortunately, this is not difficult at the Tuxerhof, as we can guarantee plenty of space and spaciousness in all areas - from the lobby in the entrance area to the restaurants and the Alpine Spa including HimmelREICH and Rooftop Terrace.

There are several disinfectant dispensers for your hands throughout the hotel.

We make sure that you are constantly well looked after, while at the same time we have optimised contact moments and processes. Our mission: to be available for your questions and concerns in the usual quality and to maintain our cordiality over a greater distance.

The TuxerhofTEAM keeps an appropriate safety distance at all times and wears an FFP2 mask or mouth-nose protection. Gloves are used where appropriate. Otherwise, hands are regularly disinfected. Plexiglas screens are fitted where necessary/possible.

All staff have been tested weekly for COVID-19 since last summer.

Ongoing training on the increased hygiene and safety precautions ensures the highest possible standard.

We were awarded the "Safe Hospitality" certificate for our prevention concept.

Our cleaning standards have always been very high. However, due to the situation, we have adapted them additionally.

  • Throughout the hotel, the cleaning and disinfection intervals for frequently touched surfaces, such as door handles and lift buttons, have been increased.
  • Disinfection dispensers are available in all public areas.
  • We ensure good and regular ventilation with fresh mountain air in the hotel at all times - in your own room as well as in the public areas.
  • Public rooms are also cleaned by fogging disinfectant.
  • We work with the environmentally friendly system of our certified hygiene partner Hollu.

Wellness & Spa

Spacious worlds of relaxation

The wellness facilities are open for your enjoyment.  Throughout the SPA area, trained personnel will ensure that social distancing is maintained. For your own safety, in some areas only a certain maximum number of guests will be allowed to enter at the same time. This is where you can really benefit from the spaciousness of our relaxation worlds.

Our Alpine Spa is divided into several indoor and outdoor levels, and offers various places to relax, feel good and "spread out".

Good news for those who love a good sauna session! We are able to open our sauna world and - according to the information currently available - it is possible for several people to use the sauna rooms at the same time.  Right at the sauna door, we will strive to provide a regulated and enjoyable experience for everyone. We have already come up with solutions as to exactly how this can work, but we thank you in advance for your understanding if there are still occasional waiting times.

We have extended our swimming times. On wednesdays and saturdays you can enjoy our sunset relaxation pool from 07:00 to 22:30, and get some fresh air at the same time.

Now you can look forward to massages, care and cosmetic treatments of the highest quality! These are carried out in accordance with the hygiene measures in place. If you have any special wishes in this respect, please let us know in advance so that we can bear them in mind when planning your session.

Culinary delights

& restaurants

For many years, it has been important to us to focus on regionality and sustainability.  We therefore use products from our own region and plan to do this increasingly in the future. Our kitchen staff, service staff, and suppliers are continuously undergoing training and monitoring.

Breakfast and lunch are served as a combination of buffet and show cooking. At our buffets, the use of hand disinfectants - which we make available to our guests - is obligatory.

The daily choice is entirely up to you. Put together your own menu, from starter to dessert. Choose from vegetarian, meat and fish dishes and enjoy up to five courses. These courses will continue to be served at your table by our service staff.

On your first evening in our hotel, we will take you to your table. This is reserved exclusively for you for the duration of your stay here at the Tuxerhof.
Just for you and your loved ones.

Sports & activities

Keep moving with us

Almost all sports will be possible without any restrictions. Yoga and workouts will be moved outdoors as much as possible, or, if this is not possible, will be modified and provided for a limited number of participants.  Our guided hiking tours will also be carried out in small groups.

Safe on the mountain

Measures for summer 2021

The consistently implemented measures for a carefree time on the Hintertux Glacier are successful. The magic word here is "personal responsibility". The most important questions about the right behaviour on the mountain are answered here:

The wearing of a mouth/nose protection is obligatory in the following areas:

at cable car sales points, in the access area on all cable cars, in the station area, access/disembarkation area and while riding the cable car.

The minimum distance of 1 m must be observed. There are corresponding floor markings in the waiting area in front of the ticket offices and the lifts. If possible, the distance must also be observed in the cable car cabins and gondolas.

In order to limit capacity, a capacity restriction of 50% applies. All cabins are regularly disinfected and continuously ventilated.

Due to the ideal location of the Tuxerhof directly at the valley station, no journey is necessary - you therefore avoid using public transport.

You also have culinary advantages at the Tuxerhof. You can enjoy the breakfast buffet until 10:30 am. From 13:00 you can enjoy the afternoon lunch. This means you avoid having to stop and queue in a restaurant.

Tuxerhof Team

Fully committed to your high-quality break

All of our employees undergo regular training and testing. We are all extremely motivated to finally welcome you for a magical stay in the beautiful setting of Tyrol, thanks to all of our work - and with a smile on our face, even if this is masked for the time being. We are still waiting for the final guidelines from the federal government. Our measures can still be adapted or supplemented accordingly.
